“Trauma-Informed Mindful--Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,” by Dr Galen Cole, PhD, MPH, LPC, NCC, ABCP and Special Guest Ariel Tweto

      Dr. Galen Cole PhD, MPH, LPC, NCC, ABCP recently served as President of the Georgia Association of Licensed Professional Counselors. In addition to his private practices in GA and CA, Galen also currently travels throughout the U.S. conducting intensive continuing education workshops on “Mindful--Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,” on behalf of PESI (pesi.com) and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. Galen has published numerous books and scientific papers, and made presentations at conferences and training seminars across the world. Galen’s private practice consists largely of treating high conflict couples and adult clients referred with a history of trauma, mood problems and/or anxiety conditions. Dr. Cole has considerable experience practicing what he teaches, including working on staff and as a consultant at numerous clinics, hospitals, and community-based organizations; consulting in Hollywood on a number of popular television programs; serving as the executive director of a not-for-profit foundation; working as an assistant director of public health in the second largest county in the U.S.; consulting for prominent international organizations like China Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Navajo Nation, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the World Bank, and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF); and working as a research psychologist and director of research and evaluation activities in various centers, institutes, and offices at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia.Dr. Cole recently served as President of the Georgia Association of Licensed Professional Counselors.

    Ariel Eva Tuadraq-Atauchaq Tweto was born in 1987 in Unalakleet, Alaska, USA. TV Personality,  producer, President and Cofounder of Popping Bubbles Non-profit with a mission to pop the bubbles that prevent people from living happy and healthy lives. Popping Bubbles works with remote communities in the Arctic to help them combat issues they are facing such as a steep rise in youth suicide, domestic violence, and substance abuse.  She is a producer and actress, known for The Pipeline, Francis (2010) and Native Shorts Presented by Sundance Institute's Native American and Indigenous Program (2013).
