2026 Annual HIPAA Refresher
1 Ethics Hour
HIPAA Rules require initial and recurring training of all staff involved in providing services to patients. This course will acquaint you with the critical HIPAA components as they apply to the therapist. We will also discuss how federal and state laws interface with HIPAA. We will briefly explore HITECH requirements and handling of breaches. Finally, we will look at patient notification of privacy rights and associated administrative tasks as required by HIPAA.
